Unless one hears Gnani with patience and humility he will not able to grasp what he is saying.+

A Gnani does not speak much; he will not try to convince others. If the seeker is serious in his quest for truth, then he shares the wisdom.

Gnani’s ways are very simple. Unless one hears Gnani with patience and humility he will not able to grasp what he is saying.
A Gnani will not say logically he goes into the analysis as deeply as is humanly possible. A Gnani is not a philosopher either. All his talk is just like uprooting weeds from the garden. He destroys all the doubts and confusion through his analysis. He does not give the seeker anything; he simply takes away all that the seeker has been carrying in his mind. For a moment the seeker is utterly lost -- and in that very moment, he can see the reality hidden by the illusion as it is.
You yourself must do the work of realizing the Truth (Self) by using your own judgment and reason. Nobody else, no guru can do it for you.
The essence of Mundaka Upanishads is:~ Do not be satisfied with rituals, yoga, etc. which are good in their own way, but an inquiry. Inquire into the nature of the mind. ? Brahman and Atman are things one can never see. So seeker should not inquire into them. He has to inquire into the world around him, which he can see. Analysis tells him it is passing away every second. Everything is dying repeatedly. Where is it going? Thus he follows up his investigation into what he can lay his hands on. How can he inquire into Atman which he cannot see? So first he must deal with the known and seen, this inquiry leads up to the unknown in the end.
Mediocre minds waste their time arguing about unimportant matters. Accumulation of scriptural knowledge is dangerous in pursuit of truth.
The seeker has to establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. The seeker has to begin by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss, understand and assimilate self-knowledge. Thus, the seeker has to remove all the hindrances in order to acquire Self-knowledge.
The truth which has no basis is usually religion or a mere catalog of ignorant opinions; people prefer it because it can be got more easily. A religious philosophy based on the false self (ego) is worthless from the standpoint of truth.
Everyone has not got the capacity to realize Truth but very few have: but some among these few are so sharp that they have only to hear words of wisdom of the Sages when they grasp it at once. Henceforth they have only to stabilize their illumination.
The Gnani will only point out the truth to the seeker.
Most people judge a teacher by his wearing a yellow robe, his perpetual silences, his holding his nose in pranayamas, his eating little, etc. they do not judge by asking "Is what he says true?”
The Advaitic method is to reflect on the subject, not dogmatic laying down by religious scriptures and authority.
Many Advaitic Gurus of the east and west suffer from the exaggerated egocentric insanity of the ‘I KNOW’ attitude. They want to distinguish themselves from others" is their idea, and they go about propagating religious rituals, yoga, karma, and Upaasana and love as the means to acquire Advaitic wisdom. Such Gurus are propagating ignorance, not wisdom. : ~~Santthosh Kumaar

Advaitic orthodoxy has to be discarded if you want to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.+
