Until and unless the mystery of the universe is not solved Buddhists will not find the answer for their reincarnation and rebirth ideas.+

Buddhist do not believe in the existence of the Athma or Soul. Buddhists talked about transmigration without Athma or  Soul. Without Athma how anything can exist.

The birth, rebirth, or reincarnation are happening within the illusory universe or Maya. Until and unless the mystery of the universe is not solved Buddhists will not find the answer for their reincarnation and rebirth ideas.

Buddhists and Hindus are more concerned with preserving their inherited traditions and culture rather than the truth. Buddhists and Hindus are trying to find the truth within the framework of their religion.

Dali Lama: ~ “If the scientific analysis were conclusively to demonstrate certain claims in Buddhism to be false, then we must accept the findings of science and abandon those claims.

H. H Dalai Lama was right in saying if the scientific analysis were conclusively to demonstrate certain claims in Buddhism to be false, then we must accept the findings of science and abandon those claims. it also proves his greatness and maturity how much importance he gives to the truth.

Remember:~

It is quite true that Bhagavan Buddha constantly taught that man should seek release from transmigratory existence, but we must remember however that what the sage knows is known only to himself in its fullness and that he gives out to the public only so much as they could grasp and no more.

Bhagavan Buddha was charismatic, hypnotic. People were impressed by him. But the interpretation of Buddha was bound to be rational.

If Buddha had lived at another time in history, in a part of the world that was not against mysticism, he would have been seen as a great mystic, not as an intellectual. The face that is known belongs to the history of a particular time. As I see Buddha, he was not primarily rational. The whole concept of nirvana is mystical.

He was even more mystical than the Upanishads, because the Upanishads, however mystical they look, have their own rationality. They talk about the transmigration of the Soul. Bhagavan Buddha talked about transmigration without a Soul. It is more mystical.

Bhagavan Buddha said: ~ “The Upanishads talk about liberation, but you will be there. Otherwise, the whole thing becomes nonsense. If I cannot be in that ultimate state of existence, then the whole effort is useless, illogical. Buddha said the effort is to be done – and you will not be there. It will just be nothingness. The concept is more mystical.

Tibetan and Chinese Buddhists who say that there are many Buddhas living in spirit bodies and helping our earth from the spiritual world are still in the sphere of religious illusion, not the ultimate truth. Their statements are wrong. Every sage realizes that the only way to help mankind is to come down amongst them, for which he must necessarily take on flesh-body. When people are suffering how can he relieve their suffering unless he appears amongst them? When people are suffering how can he feed them from an unseen world whether their struggle is for material bread or for spiritual truth? No! He must be here actually in the flesh. It is impossible to help them in any other way and all talk of Lord Shiva living on Mount Kailas in a spiritual body or Bhagavan Buddha in Nirmanakaya, invisible body belongs to the realm of delusion or Self-deception.

Bhagavan Buddha's teachings that all life is misery belong to the relative standpoint only. For you cannot form any idea of misery without contrasting it with its opposite, happiness. The two will always go together. Buddha taught the goal of cessation of misery, i.e. peace, but took care not to discuss the ultimate standpoint for then he would have had to go above the heads of the people and tell them that misery itself was only an idea, that peace even was an idea (for it contrasted with peacelessness). That the doctrine he gave out was a limited one, is evident because he inculcated compassion. Why should a Buddhist sage practice pity? There is no reason for it.

Advaita is the next step higher than Buddhism because it gives the missing reason, viz. unity, non-difference from others, and because it explains that it used the concept of removing the sufferings of others, of lifting them up to happiness, only as we use one thorn to pick out another, afterward throw both away. Similarly, Advaita discards both concepts of misery and happiness from the ultimate standpoint of non-duality, which is indescribable.

Buddhists say that a thing exists only for a moment, and if that thing has still got some of the substance from which it was produced how then can they deny that its cause is continuing in the effect; hence its existence is more than a moment. Vedanta is concerned with whether it is one and the same thing which has come into being or has it come out of nothing.
Bhagavan Buddha: ~ “There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.
Dalai Lama said: ~ Buddhism need not be the best religion though it is most scientific and religion and inquisitive. But Buddhism has no answer to certain questions like the existence of Atama (Soul) and rebirth. Dali Lama said that as an individual he believes in rebirth as he had come across a few cases of rebirth. Modern science, Dalai Lama hoped would unearth the mystery behind the rebirth. (In DH –dec-212009-Gulburga)
Bhagavan Buddha meant when he said the Self, did not exist, that the physical self alone did not exist.

 Atman:  real self. (Soul)

Jiva: physical self. (Ego)

Bhagavan Buddha said emptiness. Emptiness means the nature of the Soul, the fullness of the consciousness without the form, time, and space.

Bhagavan Buddha referred to the emptiness as "where thinking fails to attain", where words fail. All that you can say is there “No two". That is Advaita.

Sunyavadins (Buddhists) say that Buddha taught void, and because Buddha went through Idealism, he is called Idealist. Not so. Buddha cannot be pinned down. Buddha himself does not commit himself but says it is beyond words.

Bhagavan Buddha kept silent, refusing to answer questions on the ultimate. Therefore, he was the wisest man in refusing to commit himself.

Remember:~

Reincarnation was not a Vedic belief. Belief in reincarnation which is central to Hinduism of today is not really attested to in the Vedas, though they hint at life after death. The doctrine of transmigration as elaborated in Hinduism has no place in the Vedic hymns”. In the early Vedic literature, there is no express mention of the doctrine of transmigration.

In the early Vedic literature, there is no express mention of the doctrine of transmigration. In the entire Rig Veda consisting of about 10,500 verses ― there is only one occasion where there is mention of a return to this world after death. What is implied here is that it cannot be taken as important teaching of the Rig Veda.

Reincarnation was not a Vedic belief. Belief in reincarnation which is central to Hinduism of today is not really attested to in the Vedas though they hint at life after death. The doctrine of transmigration as elaborated in Hinduism has no place in the Vedic hymns”.

It is in the Upanishads that it appears for the first time. The Rig Veda speaks of two paths for the Souls of the deceased, namely, the path of the God s (devayana) and the path of the fathers (pitriyana). Those who go by the former enjoy immortality and there is no return to physical life after that.

In fact, the Vedic man longed for this state of life. Whereas those who go by the latter path, unite with the fathers and then return to earth, after having enjoyed the fruits of his deeds.

People who are caught up with the idea of reincarnation and rebirth theories are not qualified for Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana because they accepted the duality as reality.

People who believe in reincarnation and rebirth theories are unaware of the fact that their belief is based on the waking entity, which is the false self within the false experience. The waking entity itself is false Self within the false experience, it means the present experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a falsehood.

Whatever is seen, known, believed, and experienced as the waking entity is bound to be a falsehood because the Soul, the innermost Self is birthless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. Therefore, the rebirth and reincarnation theory based on the false Self is bound to be a falsehood because the birth and death take place domain of the form, time, and space whereas the 'Self is birthless and deathless.

The one, which is born, lives, and dies in the world, is not the Self. When the world itself is an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form the consciousness then the birth and rebirth happening within the world are bound to be an illusion.

A deeper self-search reveals the fact that the waking experiences themselves are an illusion. It means the present experience of birth, life, death, and the world is an illusion. Thus, the reincarnation theory based on the false self within the false experience is bound to be a falsehood. When the waking entity is not the Self then whatever theories are based on the waking entity imagined theory.

This imagined theory based on the waking entity or ego is for those lower mindset who are incapable of grasping the ultimate truth or Brahman.

People who are caught up with the idea of reincarnation and rebirth theories are not qualified for Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana because they accepted the duality as reality. Birth implies duality, and the duality is falsehood from the ultimate standpoint.

DeeperSelf-search reveals the fact that the body is not the Self. Religion is based on the body as the Self because it speaks of birth, death, and rebirth whereas the 'Self' is birthless and deathless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Ignorance is the cause of experiencing birth, life, death, and the world as reality. Once the ignorance is dropped then one becomes aware ‘what is
the truth?‘, and what is the untruth?.

From the standpoint of the formless Soul, the innermost Self - There is no birth, No death, No world ~. This is the truth.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, there is neither birth nor death nor the world. From the non-dualistic perspective, the present birth itself is an illusion because the Soul, the innermost Self is birthless and deathless.

The one which born, lives, and dies in this world is not the Self. If the ‘Self’ is not the birth entity then whatever seen, known, believed and experience as a birth entity is bound to be an illusion. Thus, the reincarnation theory is based on the birth entity (you or ego), which is the false Self within the false experience (waking).

From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, The world in which we exist is merely an illusion. If the world in which we exist is an illusion then the birth, life, death and rebirth, and reincarnation that happens within the illusory world is bound to be an illusion.

Accepting rebirth and reincarnation theory as reality is accepting false self (ego) as real Self and false experience (waking) as reality.

Self-realization is impossible if one accepts the present waking entity as the real Self because the Self is neither the waking entity nor the Self is the dream entity, but the Self is the Soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states.

Dalai Lama said: ~ Buddhism need not be the best religion, though it is most scientific and religion and inquisitive. But Buddhism has no answer to certain questions like the existence of Atama [Soul] and rebirth. Dali lama said that as an individual he believes in rebirth as he had come across a few cases of rebirth. Modern science, Dalai Lama hoped would unearth the mystery behind the rebirth. (In DH –dec-212009-Gulburga).

Reincarnation is based on ignorance. Reincarnation is a religious fable based on the birth entity (ego). The experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a reality only on the dualistic perspective.

On the non-dualistic perspective, there is really no reincarnation at all, either now or before. Nor will there be any hereafter. This is the truth.

Religion propagated reincarnation happens to the individual Soul after the death of the body. Some claim that the Soul goes to heaven or hell while others claim that it is reincarnated in a new body.

Reincarnation theories are based on the imagination based on the birth entity. The birth entity is the false self within the illusory world (dualistic world). Religion is dualistic because religion holds s the experience of birth, life, death, and the world as a reality. Religion holds the Soul as an individual and the Soul is within the body. All the religious and yogic theories are based on the individual Self

On the non-dualistic perspective, the reincarnation theories collapse. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, there is no birth or death, no heaven or hell, and no reincarnation.

Religious people who are unable to assimilate the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space, think that reincarnation true. If one imagines on the base of the ego (birth entity) then he would imagine he would new body and a new life in the new world.

Once the one realizes the ‘Self’ is not the ‘I’ but ‘Self’ is the Soul then the ‘I’ cease to be a reality ceases and unreality of the experience of the birth, life, death, and the world is exposed. All theories about birth, life, death, the world, and reincarnation belong to the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The Self is birthless, therefore, it is deathless. The one which is born lives and dies within the world (waking) is not the Self. The idea of reincarnation is based on the birth entity (waking entity or ego) which lives and dies within the illusory world (waking).

The Self is the one which witnesses the coming and going, of the dual (waking or dream) nondual (deep sleep) experiences. When the experience of birth, life, and death takes place in the illusion, then recantation also is part of the same illusion.

The dream becomes unreal when waking takes place. Similarly, the waking becomes unreal when wisdom dawns. Wisdom dawns when the Soul, the Self, consciously remains awake in its formless non-dual nature. The substance and the witness of the three states are one in essence and that essence is consciousness. Then what value is there for the universe in, which the experience of birth, life, death, and reincarnation happen?

Even you take reincarnation as a reality, but reincarnation happens within the world, which is an illusion, from the standpoint of the unborn Soul, the Self.

On the standpoint of the Soul, the 'Self' the world in which we are born is merely an illusion. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
