The Soul is the Self. The Soul is in the form of formless consciousness. The Soul is not born, nor does it die. The Soul did not come from anything else, nor were made out of something other than itself. The Soul is unborn, eternal, everlasting, and always existed. the Soul is not slain, though the body is slain.

The truth is eternal and the untruth is impermanent. These two lead man to very different ends. He who chooses the truth attains freedom from experiencing the illusory experience of birth, life, death, and the world as reality. 

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana will interest only a few people; the rest are interested in Religion, yoga other paths, and pleasure hunting.

Without consciousness, you, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world cease to exist. Without you, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness alone exists.

You, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world are a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya. Because You, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world are nothing but an illusion created out of the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Consciousness is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. Consciousness is everything. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Whatever you have seen, known, believed, and experienced as a person within the world is bound to be an illusion created out of consciousness. Thus, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone, is real and eternal.

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the witness-consciousness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theatre, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
