Ish Upanishad:~ “Those people who have neglected the attainment of ‘Self’-knowledge and have thus committed suicide.
Those people who have neglected the attainment of ‘Self’-knowledge and have thus committed suicide, as it were, are doomed to enter those worlds after death. This is a condemnation of people who do not try to attain Self-knowledge.
People seem to ignore the Atmic truth. For them their accepted truth that never changes. For the serious seeker is not satisfied with hearsay knowledge.
Anybody who has been interested in the Atmic path sooner or later is bound to find his way towards it. Only a Gnani leads them into the innermost core of truth.
The truth seekers from different walks of life from all over the world are struggling to know the mystery of their own existence. Due to inborn and the inherited conditioning or samskara, it becomes difficult to grasp the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
Religious beliefs, social and cultural bondage, personal predilections, and phobias become the greatest obstacle to discovering the ultimate truth. However, an intense inner urge to know the ultimate truth will not be satisfied until the journey to the unknown is completed. The seeker has to cross many obstacles and barricade injected by religion and society and beliefs and behaviors.
The fact is something which has to be proved beyond all doubts and cannot be challenged. The truth cannot be found in an antique shop there is no use in trying one old idea to another it leads to confusion.
Nothing can be achieved or attained since the very base of seeking the truth is based on the false self (ego) and false experience (waking).
The seeker has to learn to view and judge the three states on the standpoint of the Soul, the Self. Only when the seeker becomes Soulcentric then the truth will start unfolding gradually according to the spiritual maturity of the seeker.
Sage Sankara has prepared the ground for everyone to seek. He has prepared people intellectually for the Atmic path but now it is the seeker's work to move deeper than intellect, to the Soul. Sage Sankara's wisdom will shine and continue.
Most people have the desire to know the truth but the capacity to understand and assimilate it is limited. The result is that people resolve the conflict by jumping to the first and simplest and easiest conclusion as the correct one, and smugly but unjustifiably thinking “I know”: Thus they commit the fallacy of primitivity
Truth means certainty. If there is any uncertainty it is not the truth. It does not deal with imagination. People do not have a scientific attitude because they take things as presented to them. They have rather an emotional and sentimental attitude. The correct attitude is to verify all the facts, to see a problem in them, something to investigate and inquire into them.
Truth must be verifiable; unless it is verifiable it is of no value. Those who lack the capacity to doubt are not fit for the pursuit of truth.
Only your intense urge and sincerity to know the truth will lead you towards the ultimate end. The Soul, the innermost ‘‘Self’’ is the real Guru, and when you realize the fact that the ‘‘Self’’ is not you but the ‘‘Self’’ is the formless Soul then all barricades will start vanishing and the formless runway becomes very clear. Seekers' first step makes him realize there are no steps and no climber.
There is no need to ignore anything. The world, in which we exist, exists because of ignorance. We are living within the world, which is the product of ignorance. If there is no ignorance then there is no separation, no duality, no mind, no world, it is only oneness. Only the ignorance vanishes through ‘‘Self’’-Knowledge, the truth which was hidden by the ignorance will appear. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the dualistic illusion as a reality. Within the dualistic illusion the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a reality.
The seeker has to find the root of this ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of the whole physical existence. We are discussing the truth within the state of ignorance. How can we get rid of ignorance when we are unaware of the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space?. Only ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana helps to get rid of ignorance.
The seeker must feel the oneness with the Soul by realizing the form, time and space are nothing but the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. : ~
